The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, is preparing the Global Peace Summit to be held in July. This summit will bring together Heads of State from all over the world, and will especially aim to promote a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine, by discussing the 10-point Peace Plan proposed by President Zelenski since last December.

This plan includes various international security issues, such as nuclear security, energy security, food security and climate security; it also proposes the creation of a "special international tribunal to judge war crimes"[1] (Reuters, 2022), as well as transcendental issues such as respect for Ukraine's territoriality and sovereignty.

Likewise, President Zelenski proposes in his 10-point Peace Plan, peace in Ukraine by validating the end of the war through the "signing of peace between the parties to the conflict."[2] (Reuters, 2022)

The so-called "Peace Formula"[3] (UKINFORM, 2023), has also been a reason for the President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, to invite Heads of State from all over the world to this meeting, as he recently did with Brazil, India, Costa Rica, Belize, United Kingdom, among other countries.

It is important to point out that, during this year, several countries have presented their proposals to solve the crisis in Ukraine. As an example of this we have the case of China, who, last February, proposed to respect "international law, the sovereignty of states, the interruption of hostilities and the resumption of peace talks."[4] (Ministry, 2023)

Another case of peace proposal for the conflict in Ukraine is that of the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, who will meet on Friday, June 16, with the President of Ukraine Volodimir Zelenski, and who, in turn, at the end of his meeting will travel to Russia to meet, together with the African delegation he had previously convened, with President Vladimir Putin.

Let us recall that the African delegation is made up of "Comoros, Congo Brazaville, Egypt, Senegal, South Africa, Uganda and Zambia."[5] (PrensaLatina, 2023)

Thus, peace to the conflict in Ukraine is at an important moment in international and regional diplomacy, because leadership and will are required for countries to find a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine.
